HEAR PALMER 2010
In 2011, a few days before the start of the en primeur campaign, we have decided to celebrate the 2010 vintage in music, and were very pleased to welcome Michel Portal and Yaron Herman in concert at Château Palmer on 25th March 2011.

Michel PortalThe Music man. It would be incorrect to describe clarinettist Michel Portal as a jazzman: he is a "music man". If he has won all the prizes and is famous worldwide, it is because he is a magnificent musician, inspired and expressive. He excels in every style: as a classical soloist or in a chamber orchestra; as a key figure in contemporary music; and in jazz, where he plays with the greats. He is also always keen on new experiences, provided they are very high-level.
Yaron HermanA dazzling carreer. He was relatively unknown just 5 years ago, but today he is considered one of the best pianists in the new generation, acclaimed by both audiences and the media, not only in Europe, but also in Asia and the United States. The rapid success of his career has confirmed that he is certainly an amazing, unique phenomenon in the history of the piano.
"To recall my concert with Yaron Herman is first of all to remember the experience of playing in a rare setting with excellent acoustics – the cellar at Château Palmer, where the welcome and the ambiance were so exceptionally warm. There, we had the pleasure of tasting many remarkable crus, wines that filled us with real joy. I also hold a lasting memory of a moment, during our visit in the vineyard, when I first heard the story of “la confusion sexuelle des papillons”(the sexual confusion of moths). It inspired Yaron to compose a song, which we recorded that very day."
